Hi everyone -
I know, right now I’m mostly talking to myself, however, I find the writing keeps me focused and I truly enjoy talking about my routines, my day and my beliefs. I had dinner at my house tonight, surprise visitors in my oldest son and his fiance Laura. I had a chicken breast and broccoli, they had carry out chinese – ah well, they will get it someday.
I am on a mission to find a good whole foods store, or at least a store that has a better variety of healthier foods. I know it’s more expensive, but what is the cost of the medicines and ailments. If I were a betting man, I’d say in the long run, it is cheaper to do what I do. I saw the movie “Food Inc”, and it just further solidifies my committment to taking care of myself.
Today is Saturday and to summarize my week I have to say it was a good one in terms of nutrition and exercise. I worked with weights, Mon-Wed-Fri, did spinning on Tue-Sat, and the elipticle on Thu. I am still waiting to get out and run. I miss it a bunch, but I have at least walked a couple days with my neighbor giving me the double benefit of being outdoors, fresh air and spending time with my very best friend – what more could a guy ask for …..
Work has stepped up quite a bit and throws a wrench in my routine a bit, but I am committed to health so it always over rules anything. I still go back to the day I visited a very good friend in the hospital as he was dying of emphysema, he said to me “Rob, if you have your health, you have everything” ….. so true as he past away just a few days later. It didn’t hit me until 20 years later – some people it takes awhile, what can I say.
Anyway, I hope you had a good day and achieved your goals this week, Remember, keep them small, keep the realistic – gain momentum in your small victories
Live Well and Live Strong,
Rob
