Your Routine

Well I have stuck to my schedule pretty good. It’s been three hard weeks of weight training, spinning and yoga. It will all back off a bit next week as I have week long sales meetings. I will try to fit in what I can, but people are flying in, then we are flyin out …. blah blah ….. all so gets in the way of ME, but thats alright, it is what pays the bills.

I enjoy my weight training. I started a new routine that I really thought was going to push me, but it has leveled off already. I have upped my weights and that has helped, but I may want to change it up a little in the coming weeks so it continues to challenge me. I’m not sure if you noticed, but if I don’t feel a little muscle ache the next day, I didn’t work hard enough.

Now tonight’s spinning, THAT”S another animal. I LOVE how that pushes me and makes me sweat like I have never sweat before. There is one instructor, when she is on the schedule, you know it’s gonna be good……. and it was awesome! Can’t get enough and I highly recommend it.

I have to say, and this is a personal opinion, but I see two types of people. Those that are self motivated and will stick to there routine come hell or high water, and those that require people and places to keep them motivated. I hate to say that I am the latter, most wouldn’t believe it, but it’s true. I enjoy seeing other people doing what I love to do. I can’t say the I “need” or “have to have it” to continue to workout, but being around other people, or at a public gym motivates me to work even harder then I normally would. I could, and have, worked out at home, by myself, but I lose that edge, that competive atmosphere that I get at the gym. Pick your spot and whatever draws you to exercise and eat right, follow that path. Don’t ever lose that edge – It really is a blast.

Live Well,

Rob
